This is the most epic animation I've ever made I reckon!

Through the Fields is a song by The Little Unsaid.

I animated this in Photoshop so you can imagine how long I've spent on this, it's certainly been a journey and a half!

Special thanks to John Elliot and Alex Horsfall for giving me this opportunity. I hope we can work together again sometime in the future!

Please check out their homepage for more amazing music!

The projects you manage to complete mostly by yourself really amazes me. When you set out to do a film like this, how do you begin (script/storyboard)? Nice work once again but I feel abit sad now :b

Hehe thank you!

When I set out to do work like this, I talk to my client to see what they want from it. I've usually been given great creative freedom so I've been lucky in that sense.

Once we have a general direction e.g. visuals and story, I'll do sketches to flesh out the style of it, and also a rough script. We discuss about it and once we're completely happy with where we're going, I proceed to storyboard, discuss, edit. - Animatic - edit - Animation - final edit.

So basically it goes through a lot of going back and forth, because sometimes an idea we think is good might not look as good as we thought in the end.

Haha why do you feel sad? =P

The story felt sad to me, even though the narrative seemed interpretive.

It was a bit sad, yes, there wasn't any real conclusion for the man. : (

And yes your'e right we left it open to interpretation, we thought that would be part of it's beauty. :)
